That’s Incredible… What’s incredible is this show lasted 4 years. The not so incredible hosts, John Davidson, Fran Tarkenton and Cathy Lee Crosby mesmerized us with incredible stuff like dangerous stunts, including juggling knives, staying inside a small box for hours, and one involving a man catching a bullet between his teeth. The dangerous nature of these stunts eventually prompted producers to include the caption "Do Not Try This Yourself.”
The Hot Fudge Show… This was one very strange kids show. It seems like everyone that ever got fired from Sesame Street or The Muppets Show headed straight over to The Hot Fudge Show looking for a job. Watching this show just made me want to bang my head up against the wall until all the ringing in my head stopped.
Lidsville…On the kid creepy meter this show was a nightmare producer. A teenage Eddie Munster (Butch Patrick) playing Mark falls into a big magic hat. He ends up running into Charles Nelson Reilly playing a green bald headed magician. There was Weenie the Genie & Witchypoo, a top hat talked in opera..."We must get HOOOOODOOOOOO before he retuuuuuuuurrrrnnns" and the Cowboy hat that talked like John Wayne. Let me guess another Sid and Marty production.
Slim Goodbody...I remember this guy as a kid and he is way up there on my creepy meter. I really didn't want to see a dude in a painted body suit in that time of my life. I have to think this was a really bad life choice for him.
