Washington National Airport (1970)
Washington National Airport is in Arlington, Virginia. It was mainly built on land reclaimed from the Potomac River in 1939-1941. This is the terminal and parking lot in 1970. Note the bus station at the left. The airport now has a Metro subway station, but not as close to the terminal. The airport is now officially called Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, or more often Reagen National Airport. The Potomac River is in the background.
