A Homesteader family has always the problem of pest control. But sometimes the pest problem could be a resource too. This is the case of snails. Many of them are edible and tasty. Their meat, once cocked, is not flabby or slimy as someone can think. Furthermore, their meat is poor in fats, has a very good quantity of proteins and has a lot of mineral salts. Also calories are very low. They could be a very good resource for a homesteader family...
