Constantine I ("the Great") is one of the most revered emperors, primarily due to the fact that he converted to Christianity after his victory at the Battle of the Milvian bridge in the north of Rome on October 28, 312. Thereafter, he made Christianity legal in the Roman empire. The pieces of a giant statue of Constantine, with body parts of marble (his torso being in bronze armor, long since melted down), are housed in the Capitoline museum -- and they always make an interesting photo!
