"On the left bank of the Váh river, close to Žilina, Slovakia, you'll find the Strečno Castle on top of the limestone rock. In the past it was the safest fort in the Považie region. Today it is a well preserved ruin.
The High Tatras. The High Tatras, the tallest range in the Carpathian Mountains, tower over most of Eastern Europe. They rise along the border of northern Slovakia in the Prešov Region, and southern Poland in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship.
