Contemporary Bookcase - Industrial

This board contains a series of photos that show the steps involved in making an industrial, contemporary bookcase. The ingredients include, 2" x 12" boards, iron pipe, flanges, wood stain and screws.
4 large boards, Fourteen 1/2"x12", eight 1/2"x18" iron pipes, forty-four 1/2" flanges, 176 screws, gray metallic spray paint, and dark wood stain will make our industrial, contemporary bookcase.

The flanges are made of galvanized steel which is silver. I spray painted them to match the gray of the iron pipe.

The bookcase will replace this simple milk crate 1"x12"x10' college apartment-like creation. It served the purpose but it is time to move on. Industrial, contemporary bookcase.
Three boards will make the bookacase. Two 2"x12"x12' boards and one 2"x12"x16 were used. The 16' board was cut into 10' and 6' sections. Be sure to sand and place knots and imperfections on facing down. Industrial, contemporary bookcase.
The four 2" x 12" boards were then stained. Darker made them look older. Industrial, contemporary bookcase.

The project is too big too assemble then move. It will be put together in the room it will live in. Industrial, contemporary bookcase.
