Jay Silverheels (May was a Canadian Mohawk First Nations actor. He was well known for his role as Tonto, the faithful American Indian companion of the character, The Lone Ranger, in a long-running American TV series. I loved this series and I loved Tonto.

Vintage Canadian one and two dollar bills / banknotes of the 1970s series. The 1970s series follows in the footsteps of the 1954 series in that it also depicts scenery, but is not limited solely to nature. The $1 depicts Parliament Hill (Ottawa) and the $2 depicts an Inuit hunting scene. Both notes depict Queen Elizabeth on the front. The 1970s series notes were used until the mid-late 1980s.
