Starstruck
I couldn't resist buying a couple more Card-io stamp sets at Doncaster last weekend. These stamps are from the Starstruck set. Although they are designed as a Christmas set coming with a star and a deer I would use some of the animals for other occasions. I used a MFT stencil for my hill, colouring the sky using a dry wet wipe and a blue ink pad. I added some little snow dots and crooses with a white gel pen. I then stamped the animals and sentiment. Now I actually bought the sentiment…
New Card-io stamps
I do love using Card-io stamps and I was longing to try out some of the new ones I bought. I am really pleased with how this one came out. I saw some cards on the Card-io stand where they had used brown ink and I decided to try it for a change. I added a little colour with small ink pads before stamping the trees and used some silver paint for a snowy effect. The sentiment is Inkylicious.
Blue Cardio Christmas......
Good morning all, I do hope that you are wrapped up warm, I am not enjoying this sudden change of temperature. My bones really don't like it at all!! I have been so busy of late still sorting out my late mum's affairs with my family and also updating the website and of course planning new workshop's that I have not had a lot of time to spend on social network so I apologise for that. #Note to self: I must try to make more time this week....... Today I thought that I would show you a couple…
Two cards, four snowmen
I had my best day's sales this year yesterday. Looking forward to getting the Christmas decs up today and writing the Christmas cards. Might get the pressies wrapped this weekend too. Just have to go and collect a parcel and do some food shopping today and I am sure a coffee shop will figure in that trip too. These new Card-io stamps certainly helped me complete my Christmas cards this year. I could go on and on using them and will be making several of these to sell next year. I love…
A bit of an adventure and my favourite 5 Christmas cards
Well, Boxing Day didn't finish the way we expected it to! It is the day we host family and cook our proper Christmas Dinner. We had a lovely day and were just enjoying our tea when Steve decided to check on the weather, only to discover that it was starting to snow. We quickly got both Dads organised and then set off to take them home. Steve's dad (now 94) was safely delivered home, but after a 3 hour 11 mile round trip we arrived back home with my dad still with us. Steve was a hero…

Top 5 Christmas Cards of 2015
The lovely Debby is again hosting Favourite five Christmas cards. Here are mine, although with making them throughout the year I had to search for them this year! First up is one of the snowy scenes like I made last year, using inkylicious stamps. I don't know about you, but I am pining for a bit of snow or frost. All these warm wet days are depressing! This next one represents all the cards I made using white ink on Kraft, as I couldn't choose a favourite. It was so lovely to see this new…
More Christmas animals
When I start using my Card-io stamps I nearly always make at least two cards and this one is very different to the one I blogged last Friday. I used to stamp direct to the card blank but I am actually preferring this style stamped onto white card then matted onto coloured card. I used my MFT hill stencil again and first inked a sky and sunset using a dry wet wipe and various small ink pads. I then keep the stencil in place and ink the trees usually twice so that some are lighter appearing to…
