Glycemic Load (GL) is a measurement used to calculate the impact of blood sugar upon the carbohydrates. If the Glycemic Load value of the food you intake is less, then it is a good carbohydrate.

Keep this in mind when you cheat on your diet on the weekends.  Consistency throughout the whole week is the key. A binge night on a weekend can throw off the results you want to see. There is no, "I'll just work out harder tomorrow." The damage is already done.

Posting this cause I love mixed drinks and ill need to work them off at some point. I don't look at drinking as a bad thing, just need to know how long to work out to work it off!
