"This tree, located close to First United Methodist Church on Troy Avenue, was cut by Dyersburg Electric System employees to allow clearance for electric wires and construction of new lines in the area. The tree spurred local residents Jim and Becky Hamilton to request a meeting with Power Board members concerning their own trees, old oaks located at the front of their property."
