Grover Washington, Jr., jazz-funk / soul-jazz saxophonist, record producer & arranger. He is considered one of the founders of the smooth jazz genre. His most memorable hits include Mister Magic, Reed Seed, Black Frost, Soulful Strut, Winelight, Inner City Blues, & The Best is Yet to Come. He also performed with many other artists, including Bill Withers (Just the Two of Us), Patti LaBelle, & Phyllis Hyman. He is also remembered for his version of Dave Brubeck's Take Five. R.I.P.
